Writing a simple command procedure
Course objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Log in and out of an OpenVMS system
- Construct and enter DCL commands
- Construct and use OpenVMS file specifications
- Describe and move around directories
- Create and edit text files using the EVE editor
- Use DCL commands to manipulate and find files
- Use the Mail utility to communicate with other users
- Use the Help utility and the OpenVMS documentation set to get help about the OpenVMS system
- Describe and use UIC protection codes
- Customize the working environment through the use of logical names, symbols, and key definitions in a simple login command file
