Target audience:

Technical support staff with little or no experience in managing
OpenVMS systems that may be part of larger networks and/or OpenVMS Clusters.

Prerequisites:

Before taking this course, students should be able to:
Log in and out of an OpenVMS system
Use DCL to issue commands
Create a file using an editor, such as EDT or EVE
Use commands to look at, copy and manipulate files
Understand the use of UIC protection codes to secure files and data
Create and navigate directory structures

Course overview:

This course is designed to provide introductory training for the system manager of an established VAX or Alpha computer or OpenVMS Cluster system running the OpenVMS operating system. This system may be part of a larger network or cluster.
